Are you one of travel’s stars? Then the 2010 Agent Excellence Awards is your chance to sparkle.

In partnership with Affordable Car Hire and Affordable Travel Group, this year the competition will be heating up as we take the awards nationwide.

The four winners will become part of the most glamorous night in the travel industry calendar, attending next year’s  Globe Travel Awards at Grosvenor House hotel in London on 19th January 2010.

- Most Innovative Agency

JUDGING CRITERIA

Agency of the Year (entries should be for a single branch, not multiple branches)
•  Great customer service
•  Exceptional product knowledge
•  Excellent results – the ability to get the sales
•  Good at building a brand 

Best Sales Individual
•  Going the extra mile for customers
•  Excellent listening and customer service skills and ability to build a rapport with customers
•  Ability to close a sale
•  Excellent product knowledge

Best Cruise Agency
•  Customer-focused and sales-driven staff who make the agency stand out in terms of industry   and product knowledge
•  Focus on training
•  Innovation in marketing and promotions

Most Innovative Agency
•  A really good idea that makes the agency stand out from rivals (it doesn’t necessarily have to be a technology  innovation)
•  Show how the innovation improves business and/or customer service
•  Explain how the innovation has been implemented and is used

HOW TO ENTER

Initially, whether you are nominating yourself or your agency, or whether you’re nominating someone else, you will need to provide a statement of up to 750 words telling us why you or the nominee should win this title. Please include:

- Nominee's name, company, company address with postcode, telephone and email
- The category the entry is being submitted for
- Information about achievements, backed up by evidence such as sales figures
- Details of any challenges and how you or the nominee has overcome them
- A brief description about the nominee agency, for example the agency’s location and customer base

We will use this statement to narrow down the entries to a shortlist. There will also be an opportunity to submit further information supporting your entry at this stage.   Email your entry to emily.ashwell@travelweekly.co.uk together with any supporting material.  The closing date for entries is Thursday 26th November 2009. 

All shortlisted entries will have a phone interview with a member of the Travel Weekly team to get further details before entries go before the judging panel.  

Mystery Shopper winners: all agency branches who won Mystery Shopper within the last year are automatically entered in the category of Agency of the Year.
